Match Report
The first round of the Scottish Cup saw Storm LL travel through to Tynecastle to match up against Pleasance.
Storm started off asleep on the initial stages letting Pleaseance backdoor for an easy basket and secure too many offensive boards for the Coaches liking; End of Q1 12-12.
Running the 11 deep bench started to pay dividends for Storm in the second as the defensive pressure was turned up and some full court pressure was applied. With the defence sparking the offence, Storm blew the game open and posted an impressive second quarter score to finish the half up 46-20!
The third quarter saw Pleasance deal much better with the defensive pressure from Storm and although Storm won the quarter by 9 - Pleasance posted their highest scoring quarter with 16 points; End of Q3 71-36
4th Quarter was a slow 10 mins with Storm losing concentration as the full court pressure was removed and the intensity dropped. Storm win the quarter 12-10 for a final score of 83-46.
Effectively winning the game by half-time Storm were able to work on better ball movement and some defensive sets which will hopefully stand them in good stead for the upcoming games.
