1st Round CHAIRMANS CUP
Glasgow Storm 69 - Frew Madsen 57
Storms LL select contained players from all three LL sides, and from brief discussion with the visiting team after the game they were in the same situation; so it was not surprising that there were a few out of sorts plays here and there throughout the game.
It was a scrappy affair but the difference at the start of the game was simple - PETER SCARROW who scored the first 8 points for Storm.
Storm opened up an 8 point lead and kept it for most of the match with the exception of one good run from the visitors which tied it all at 42.
A quick burst from an intense press opened up the lead again and the from there the game was drawn out with the visitors fouling for the last couple of mins.
A good win for a mixed side and fingers crossed we can do it again in the next round!
