Match Report
A slow start to the game as usual for Storm, but fortunately both teams were sloppy in offence. There were lots of turnovers and unforced errors. At the end of the quarter Storm were lucky to be only a few points behind. Both teams shooting poorly.
EOQ 10-14
The second quarter saw Storm up the pace and intensity, with some good breaks and unselfish offence, which lead to Storm taking the lead. Bucc’s tried to rally but Storm saw out the second quarter with their lead still intact.
EOH 24-32
With Storm looking a bit tired at the start of the 3rd Bucc’s came back into the game and closed the gap quickly, a quick change of personnel and Storm steadied the boat briefly. But in a scrappy mid-quarter the ball was turned over countless times, with mis-placed passes and poor finishes. Close at the end of the quarter.
EOQ 39-42
The fourth quarter looked better for Storm they were calmer in their offences and got easy points under the basket, stretching their lead with a good team performance, Bucc’s hit some huge 3’s and got some self-belief back, but every time they fouled Storm made their free-throws to complete the win on the road.
EOG 56-65
Storms first NL victory of the season, a good team performance with M.Wamsley MVP
