Match Report
Storm Thunder travelled to Airdrie tonight to play Cumbernauld, and sadly paid the price for not boxing out! The tough 1 point loss, which was made closer by Nadia Urquharts clutch 3 pointer with 5 seconds to go showed Storm that they cannot be complacent after beating the same team just days before
Natasha Yalovenko played great defence for most of the game but foule trouble kept her out of some of the second half, along with Mandy Ambler fouling out
Storm trailed for most of the game, dispite Chiefs having double digits in air balls and easily 15 travels in the game but Storm couldnt capatalise on the opposing teams errors and still gave chiefs offensive rebounding opportunities!
Free throw shooting and shot selection played a part in the game, but as previoulsy mentioned, credit to Chiefs help defence which was very good through the game! its hard to play against a packed in zone if the shots arent falling!
Thunder are looking to move on from the tough loss to Mondays game away to SPRA, and put in a better performance, especially on the boards! Confidence must stay high as we know that, and have shown that we are a much better team than we showed tonight!
