Match Report
Storm Lightning hosted Glasgow University tonight at Scotstoun in a close 40 minute battle for a win.
Storm started strong and built a 5 point lead but Uni chipped away and soon it was tied again. After some great offensive rebounding by S. Zelenovic, Storm managed to keep hold of the game in the first quarter, winning it 17-9!
In the second quarter Storm's concentration went, and credit to Uni, took their chance and expected well in the half court while Storm struggled to find the basket. Uni won the Quarter 18-7 to go into the half time break up!
The third quarter seen a new Storm side, playing much better defense and finding the basket much easier and through high intensity defense and higher percentage looks, Storm held out to win the game 50-37, holding Uni to only one point in the 3rd Quarter and just 9 points in the 4th! Another exceptional defensive performance from Suzanne Burns combined with Semple's anticipation to rack up 10 steals helped Storm to the win
