Match Report
Chiefs travelled through to Notre Dame to play 1A, and appeared to be missing a couple of players from their line-up, most noticeably their Canadian 'big'.
1A were also without their player assistant Gordon Reid, putting a lot of added pressure on Lexy Zhyzhyn to avoid foul trouble.
Chiefs offence in the first half involved a lot of perimeter jump-shots which were well contested for the most part and a result, they were not hitting very many. A very frantic 20 mins showed 1A up 35-22 at the half.
The second 20 mins was very different with Chiefs working their way inside and scoring a much higher percentage.
Some indiscipline from 1A gave Chiefs some added bonus points from the line and they managed to draw level at 60-60 late in the game.
1A showed that defense can easily win games, holding Chiefs to 2 points in the last 2 mins, they also showed how you can fail to kill the game by missing a lot of Free-throws as Chiefs fouled to try and get the ball back.
Final Score 1A 66 - Chiefs 62
