Match Report
1B were looking to turn around a 45 point deficit from the previous encounter with Cumbernauld Chiefs.
Chiefs took a lead early, and managed to maintain a 5 to 12 point lead for much of the game. All of the team (apart from one of our recently acquired shooting guards!) got a chance to contribute in the first half and Cumbernauld’s lead fluctuated throughout.
In the second half a shorter rotation to match up with Cumbernauld’s team clawed back the lead until, with only two minutes to go, 1B took a 3 point lead. Our defence in the second half improved and slowed down Cumbernauld’s scoring and 1B scored on a variety of outside shots, drives and post ups.
Unfortunately Cumbernauld made a late break away layup and got a put back after a missed shot to retake the lead. After a 1B miss Cumbernauld ran out the clock and were eventual one point winners.
